Why are we doing this? aren't there any other mats?
Most other mats have the following problems:
They are game specific playmats
They are printed with terrain that actually camouflage game pieces and make them harder to see
Printed mats are not suitable for all game types
In order to accommodate said printing, they are too thin and are often papery or plasticy
